Terms of Service

Effective date: August 25, 2026 · Applies to the Taho Android app

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Taho Android application and any related services (collectively, the "Service"), provided by Vivek Sagar ("Taho", "we", "us"). By installing or using Taho, you agree to these Terms.

Authorized testing only. Taho is a tool for testing and auditing APIs. You may use it only against systems you own or have explicit permission to test. Using Taho to attack, probe, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to any system you do not own or control is strictly prohibited and may be a criminal offense.

1. The Service

Taho is a mobile-first client for building, sending, and analyzing HTTP/WebSocket requests, with security-grading features, scheduled monitors that run locally on your device, an optional bring-your-own-key AI assistant, and optional paid plans.

2. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Taho on devices you own or control, for lawful purposes in accordance with these Terms. The app, including its code, design, and branding, remains our property. You may not redistribute, sublicense, resell, or create derivative works of the app itself. Your requests, collections, environments, reports, and other content you create remain yours.

3. Acceptable use

You agree NOT to:

If you discover a vulnerability while testing a system you are authorized to test, follow responsible-disclosure practices with that system's owner.

4. Accounts

5. Purchases and subscriptions

6. Your data and backups

Your request content is stored locally on your device. You are responsible for keeping backups of your collections and environments (use the in-app export). We are not able to recover locally stored data if it is deleted or a device is lost. See our Privacy Policy for how data is handled.

7. Third-party services

Taho integrates with services we don't control: Supabase (authentication/entitlements), Dodo Payments (billing), your chosen AI provider(s) (when you add your own key), and any server you point the app at. Your use of those services is subject to their terms, and we are not responsible for their availability, security, or actions.

8. Disclaimer of warranty

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that security gradings or scan results will be complete or correct. Test results are indicators, not certifications; always confirm findings independently before acting on them.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD 50. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS OR DATA LOSS. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or statutory consumer guarantees.

10. Termination

You may stop using Taho at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account or access to paid features if you materially breach these Terms (in particular §3) or if required by law. Where feasible, we will give notice unless prohibited. Sections 8–9 survive termination.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date above and, where practical, announced in the app. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts at the developer's place of residence in India shall have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory local consumer-protection law grants you the right to sue locally.
